Yesterday, the artist Pavlos Samios, a great painter and a university professor at the School of Fine Arts, passed away at the age of 73.
Samios was born on October 1948 in Athens.
He started painting and drawing by helping his father with his shoe workshop when he used to spend many hours.
He designed the shoes so well that his father sent him to copy designs from the branded shop windows of the time.
The famous painter did not forget his passion. A pair of red heeled pumps were usually the touch he so much wanted to add to almost all of his paintings.
Pavlos Samios struggled with the optimism that characterised him until the last hour.
With his painting and the messages he spread in it, he is one winner of life.
